Mental wellbeing GEMS
This presentation touches on the stigma around mental health and provides a brief opportunity for participants to reflect on their how their mental health is tracking. Participants are also provided with practical ideas to support their mental wellbeing via Gratitude, Empathy, Mindfulness, Strengths, and Social connections (GEMS).
Spotlight on SELF-care
This presentation focusses on redefining self-care and enables participants to reflect on their mental health. Participants will learn practical ways to engage in self-care and support their mental wellbeing via Stop (which addresses pause, rest, detach from work and sleep), Exert energy, Listen to your body, and Find your fun (SELF).
RISE with Resilience
Resilience is made up of many skills. In this presentation, participants will learn skills and strategies within four broad areas which may help them to build and strengthen resilience. RISE with Resilience focuses on Regulation (R), Insight (I), Strengths (S) and Energy (E).
Staying CALM
Staying CALM focuses on exploring stress and the impact of stress on the body. Participants will learn practical skills and strategies that may support wellbeing during times of stress via Connections (C), Awareness (A), Language & Thinking (L) and Management & Planning (M).
Rest SPECS
Rest is crucial for healthy minds and healthy bodies. Rest SPECS covers the various types of rest we need to perform optimally. This session covers Social Rest (S), Physical Rest (P), Emotional Rest (E), Cognitive Rest (C) and Sensory Rest (S). Throughout the session we also cover sleep and various avenues to incorporate relaxation into your self-care.
Reflect and Connect
Our seasonal presentation suitable for RUOK Day and Mental health awareness month.
Humans are wired for connection. In this session we explore the importance of connection and relationships. Reflect and Connect provides a brief opportunity for participants to reflect on their mental health and gain some ideas about how to ask for help if needed. To foster skills in connection, simple ways to reach out and check in on someone will also be covered.
